Who Do You Think You Are? is a highly successful factual series averaging over 6m viewers in the UK. The series has reinvented popular history on television. In each episode, one of Britain's best-loved celebrities embarks on an intense personal journey to discover their family past. The programme's intention is to expose the real person behind the celebrity, as they come to understand who they truly are, the lives their ancestors lived, and their identity and place in their country's history.
After its phenomenal success in the UK, Who Do You Think You Are? will soon be heading to the USA. Shed Media US and Lisa Kudrow's company Is or Isn't have joined forces with Series creator, Alex Graham, to produce a new series of the show for NBC. The series is due to air in 2010.
